There are a few simple steps you can take to ensure the best results for your sealcoating surface: Do not fertilize your lawn one week prior to service, and for one week after Turn off lawn sprinklers and avoid wetting the driveway 24 hours prior to service Remove vehicles from the driveway and garage and leave the garage door open for full accessibility After your sealcoating service is complete: Avoid walking on your newly seal coated driveway for 24 hours, and keep vehicles off the driveway for 48-72 hours Wait 48 hours after sealcoating before mowing the lawn Wait 48 hours to turn lawn sprinklers back on

Regular asphalt maintenance through sealcoating is an excellent way to help your driveway last longer by repairing cracks, sealing the surface, and extending the life of the asphalt. While sealcoating will refresh the appearance of your driveway, it will not completely erase wear or damage. If you have low spots in your driveway where water puddles, sealcoating will not repair these issues. Cracks will be filled and repaired which will help mitigate further deterioration, but they will still be visible.
